Role Overview

NAVI is end-to-end production planning, from sales order to shop floor. We connect to a factory’s ERP, learn how it actually runs, and use AI agents plus mathematical optimization to handle the material planning and scheduling in between. We started from the factory floor and are solving problems we have hit firsthand. This role is for graduating college seniors only. You work with us part-time through your final year and convert directly to a full-time Software Engineer offer in May at $80,000 to $120,000 base plus competitive equity. No re-interviewing, no separate return offer process. The part-time work is the evaluation. We are a small team working on high-stakes problems, in person in NYC, starting early. That is not for everyone, and we respect it. Before you apply, think about whether you actually want to work this way. It is easy to be excited in an interview and burned out by month two. The upside of that reality is real ownership from the start and room to grow as the company does. First round is a technical interview. You write a small, smart Python script, no AI assistance. If that is not something you can do on your own, we would rather not spend the time, yours or ours.

What You'll Do

Work across the stack: data pipelines and ERP integrations, agent workflows, the interfaces planners actually use
Real production code from week one, not a side project parked in a corner
Build software that real factories depend on, where wrong output has consequences on a production floor
Pick up whatever the problem requires. New domains, new tools, unfamiliar codebases

What We're Looking For

Graduating in May 2027 and available to start full-time immediately after
Creative and proactive. You find the problem worth solving instead of waiting to be handed one
Low ego. Strong opinions, held loosely, dropped quickly when the evidence says otherwise
Self-taught by default. You go read the source, the spec, the paper
Judgment about AI. You know when to let a model do the work, when to do it yourself, and how to tell the difference. Neither the engineer who won’t touch it nor the one who ships whatever it produces
Comfortable with ambiguity and messy real-world data

Nice to Have

Manufacturing, supply chain, ERP, or ops experience
Building on LLMs in production, not just demos

What We Offer

$1,500 to $2,500 per month depending on hours committed
Direct continuation to a full-time offer in May at $80,000 to $120,000 base plus competitive equity
